Raspberry Pi Project
In this Raspberry Pi Project tutorial, they are teaching you how to turn a Raspberry Pi device into a pirate radio. I think it's really cool because it's so simple. The man in the video also explains everything in simple terms. If I had a Raspberry Pi device I would definitely want to do something like this, then me & my friends could have our own way to listen to the radio without having to be in the same place.

Class 3 Assignment
RAM (Random Access Memory) is a hardware component that is the computer's temporary storage. All information stored on it is erased when the computer is turned off. Having more RAM would make the computer operate faster because it is what the computer is using when the applications are being used. The Hard Disk Drive stores all the information, but the RAM operates the information. If there is more RAM, then more applications would be able to operate simultaneously.
A Solid State Disk (SSD) is a type of Hard Disk. It is different than the traditional Hard Disk Drives because it is not a spinning disk. It is considered a much safer alternative to a hard disk because there are less losses associated with it. There is no moving disk, so it does not create heat, which would mean the user doesn't necessarily have to worry about the SSD overheating and crashing. It is also preferable because it is quieter since there is no spinning disk making noise.
A Quad Core is more preferable over a Dual core because it would be double the space. The core is where the computer "reads" the instructions for its processes. A Quad Core has the equivalent of 4 single cores, while a Dual Core has the equivalent of 2 cores. The more cores a computer is operating with, the faster it can operate.

Hardware Systems
One example of a hardware system is a Playstation 3 (pictured above). It is a very popular video game console. The price varies depending on the amount of hard drive storage provided and whether or not you buy it as a "bundle" (meaning it comes with a game). The prices is typically somewhere in the range of $200 - $300. The console comes standard with a Blu-Ray DVD player.
Some of this product's competition are XBox and Nintendo Wii. The XBox and Playstation are extremely similar machines. The graphics for both systems are very good. Other than the manufacturer and slight variations in storage space and the type of hard disk that powers the machines, they are almost the same. For the most part, preference over either machine is largely based on the opinion of the buyer.
